Bridge Jam To Belt Out 'Best of' Bluegrass After Bridge Day

As if BASE Jumping, rappelling, rafting, shopping and funnel cakes weren’t enough, there’s a fun new event going on in Fayetteville to celebrate Bridge Day. Bridge Jam 2015

Bridge Jam is a new live bluegrass music festival following the Bridge Day activities. Folks of all ages can enjoy live music, food, and vendors at the Cascade Festival Grounds in the heart of historic downtown Fayetteville.

The line-up this year reads like a who’s-who in bluegrass music from the international, national and local music scenes. You’ll be tapping your toes and dancing to the music with this incredibly talented line-up, including:

Sam Bush

Multi-instrumentalist Sam Bush is a Grammy Award-winning musical legend, known as the “King of Newgrass.” He’s influenced a generation of musicians and has been recognized by the Americana Music Association and the International Bluegrass Music Association for his artistry and contributions.

Jerry Douglas and the Earls of Leicester

Born and raised in Ohio, Jerry Douglas began playing Dobro at the age of 8, after his father took him to a Flatt and Scruggs concert. Jerry played with his dad’s band throughout high school. Since then, he’s played internationally, written and recorded award-winning albums and scored movie soundtracks. He received the Annual Americana Honors and Awards coveted Lifetime Achievement Award for Instrumentalist, a top honor shared in previous years by such luminaries such as Ry Coder, Sam Bush, Larry Campbell, Greg Leisz.

Colton Pack

West Virginia native and X-Factor winner Colton Pack has been wowing audiences since his first #1 country music hit on iTunes, “Wake Me Up.” Backed by a powerhouse band, this is one charismatic performance you don’t want to miss.

The Rarely Herd

This traditional American Bluegrass band from Athens County, Ohio, plays progressive and traditional bluegrass as well as their own unique compositions and adaptations from other genres.

Illusionary Field Movement

The Illusionary Field Movement is a local Fayetteville-area band that plays original music.  Their sound is hard to categorize, but they play the whole spectrum of music genres with a rock-and-roll and jam-band vibe.

Common Houses

The hybrid acoustic/electric band from Summersville covers a wide variety of musical genres, adding their own twist and unique sound with a mix of traditional and non-traditional instruments.
