About Taste Of BRidge Day
For over 20 years, the Canyon Rim Rotary Club has organized the annual Taste of Bridge Day festival. This is a family-oriented event that showcases the area’s finest restaurants and caterers, who offer samples of their menu specialties. The event is held on the Friday evening before Official Bridge Day, which allows thousands of visitors to enjoy wonderful food, local artwork, and live music in the beautiful outdoor setting of Adventures on The Gorge. There is no fee for admission, and food sample prices range from $2.00 to $8.00. Funds raised from this event benefit the Canyon Rim Rotary Club in their extensive community service projects and numerous donations to charitable organizations, especially those that support children in our local community.
Vendor Information
Menu Items - Each participating restaurant or caterer may determine their own menu for “The Taste” that best showcases their house specialties. Menu categories include Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert. Please note, vendors are not required to serve a menu item from each category and are welcome to serve only one item, if desired. Vendors also have the option to serve non-alcoholic drinks. To minimize duplication and allow time to print a menu, the committee must know by September 8th what each participant is planning to serve. Attendance of the event varies each year but is estimated to be around 2000 people over the course of the evening. Each vendor should be prepared to serve samples to around 250 people. Please keep food samples small so that attendees may sample multiple dishes. It is normal for vendors to run out of some menu items toward the conclusion of the event. If this will be your first time participating in The Taste, we would be happy to connect you with some of our regular participants so that they can share valuable tips and suggestions.
Menu Pricing - Prices may vary based on the food items being served. Attendees will use $2.00 tickets purchased either in advance or at the gate. No cash is accepted at vendor booths. All items need to be priced in $2.00 increments, with a maximum price of $8.00. This is a fund-raising event, proceeds from tickets turned in to each vendor will be split between the vendor (60%) and the Rotary Club (40%). Please price menu items accordingly to ensure that your costs are covered.
Time & Location - The event is held at Adventures on The Gorge the Friday evening prior to Bridge Day. This year’s date is October 18th. Vendors will be set up in a sheltered outdoor area.
Vendor set up begins at 11:00 am. Vendors will be assigned an arrival time between 11:00 am and 3:30 pm to avoid traffic congestion in the entrance area.
