Bridge Day is an amazing showcase of West Virginia’s best in one place— country cuisine, family fun and of course once-in-a-lifetime adventures! But it doesn’t have to end Saturday! We know what keeps you coming back year after year. Here’s how to enjoy all that Mountain State magic anytime:

You can’t see this classic West Virginia snack on the bridge without grabbing one! But our all-time-favorite food can be found all across the state, too, in grocery stores, gas stations and pretty much anywhere we sell snacks!

You can even try the original at the bakery credited with creating this tasty treat: the Country Club Bakery in Fairmont.

2. The View from the Bridge

While Bridge Day is the only day you can walk on top of the New River Gorge Bridge, Bridge Walk tours are available year-round.

3. Rappelling and Zip Lines

If you saw the folks rappelling at Bridge Day and said to yourself, “that looks like fun,” you aren’t alone. We’ve got outfitters and guides all over the State that can take you rappelling, or riding on a zipline.

4. Taste Of Bridge Day

If Taste of Bridge Day has you counting down the days til next year, make reservations at the restaurants that make it so... well, tasty. You can either visit a foodie town, make a special trip for an Appalachian food festival or skip the savories and go on a sweet-toothed road trip in search of the best desserts in the state.

5. Mountain Primitives

You don’t have to wait for Bridge Day to get your mountain primitives retail therapy. We’ve got great shops all over the state, from antiques to unique items and more, so you can shop anytime.

6. Aerial Views… and Adrenaline!

If you really want a thrilling aerial view of the New River Gorge and bridge, book a tour at Wild Blue Adventures and fly in an open-cockpit World War II Stearman Bi-Plane.

7. Gorge Landscapes

If you miss looking at the spectacular New River Gorge, don’t worry. Just grab your hiking shoes and head out to Long Point or to the award-winning Endless Wall Trail, some of the best mountain views in the state.
