Bridge Day Poster
The winner of the 2009 poster contest, pictured above, is Meredith Gregg.
Meredith Gregg is a nationally recognized artist and local treasure in the New River Gorge region.
Meredith moved to Fayetteville in 1995 after completing her undergrad work in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University. She has been showing at Tamarack and currently maintains an art studio in Fayetteville.
The winner of the 2008 poster contest, pictured above, is Sheila Chipley.
Ms. Chipley is an artist, educator, art consultant, and art judge. She has been a teacher for over 35 years, 28 years which were spent as a Professor of Art and Art Education at Concord College. During that time Ms. Chipley has received several awards in Art Education, some of which include being recognized three times as Art Educator of the Year in Higher Education by the WVAEA and Southeastern Art Educator of the Year 1986 by the NAEA.
The winner of the 2007 poster contest, pictured above, was Steve Coleman.
Steve Coleman is a true “Native Son” of West Virginia born in Charleston, growing up in Bluefield, and now residing in Princeton. Steve started taking pictures in his youth spending much of his High School years in a darkroom.
The winner of the 2006 poster contest, pictured above, was Debra Lester.
Fine Artist since 1983 I consider myself a self-taught artist. I’ve taken workshops with Frankie Wheeler, Seay Earhart, Marilyn Hughey-Phillis, Pat Lusk and Fred Graff. I am past president of the Beckley Art Group 2000-2003 and I am a juried member of West Virginia Watercolor Society.
The winner of the 2005 poster contest, pictured above, was Jaime Lester.
