Someone needs to get a message to the guy manning the camera on the bridge. He needs to focus on the exits, no the canopy ride to the LZ.

My friends and I participated in many of the early events when this first started. Seems so long ago. I remember being there the year the one guy’s chute didn’t open, nor did his reserve. We watched from the catwalk (we were a group of rappellers) in horror. But he managed to hit the one spot in the river where there were no rocks. We were riding up in the truck after our rappel and commented, wondering how he was, and he was there in the truck and said “that was me”. (Someone did video it, and it ran on TV and the news for a while) We got to listen to his story on the ride up. Man, it sure has changed since those early days. Sponsors, live streaming, safety….Its like a totally different event. We were the rogue adventurers, a small group of cavers and a handful of jumpers. It was small enough that some of them got to jump two, even three times. Now its all the red bull crowd. Its grown dramatically.

Are you kidding me! Put the ads during the times there are trains!!! Not when you have 2 guys going off the bridge one on the other’s shoulders. And 6 ads at a time?! Grateful to the sponsors, but time it better.

  5. Elsa says:
